This evening, at 6 p.m., the Festival del Brodetto will be inaugurated in Fano. For those who love fish (and tradition too) it’s an event not to be missed. Brodetto is not simply a fish soup. It’s a philosophy. Each family has its own special recipe and I bet there are more brodetto variations than there are stars in the sky (ok, we Italians love paradoxes… that’ one of our – many – weak points!). Should the brodetto be white or with tomatoes? And then again, pieces of tomatoes or tomato sauce? Or both? Green peppers? Oh no, that’s the Abruzzese version not the Marchigiana one!
Well, brodetto lovers of the world unite and vote the best fish soup!
